K-Card Discount Coupon -Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions apply to the “K-Card Discount Coupon Promotion” (“the Promotion”) as detailed below.

2. Promoter Information

The Promotion is conducted by Johnson & Johnson Proprietary Limited t/a Kenvue South Africa, with registration no, 1930/002616/07 a private company duly incorporated under the company laws of the Republic of South Africa and having its registered place of business situated at 241 Main Road, Retreat, Cape Town, 7945 (“Kenvue/Promoter”).

3. Eligibility

The Promotion is open to South African citizens and permanent residents of the Republic of South Africa, who are issued with a K-Card (“Participants”), which gives them access to a platform that enables them to access discount coupons from time to time, and which will be redeemable at participating Dis-Chem Pharmacies (“Dis-Chem”), Pick ‘n Pay (“PnP”) and Shoprite- Checkers (“Shoprite-Checkers”) stores (“Participating Stores”).

4. Promotional Period

  • Coupons will be activated from time to time at the discretion of Kenvue and participating stores.

  • Consumers are eligible to receive coupon codes until 31 December 2025, 23h59.

  • All coupons issued as part of the current promotion shall remain valid from Day 1 of issuance up until 31 December 2025. Any amendments to the validity period—including, but not limited to, extending or adjusting the duration—will be reviewed and may be implemented in the future, subject to prior approval and extended activation, if applicable.

5. Participant Responsibility & Consumer Protection Act

  • Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to or must be understood to reduce any rights or obligations, created for either the Participant or the Promoter in terms of the Participant Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (the “CPA”).

  • The Participant acknowledges that by submitting his or her entry to the Promotion he/she has been given an appropriate opportunity to first read these terms and conditions before entering and that he/she understands and agrees to these terms and conditions.

  • All Participants that participate in the Promotion do so entirely at their own risk. By reading and accepting these terms and conditions, the entrant gives consent to these risks and hereby indemnifies and agrees not to hold Johnson & Johnson Proprietary Limited t/a Kenvue South Africa (“Promoter”), and all its affiliates, their directors, employees and agents responsible for any liability pertaining to any damage, cost, injuries and losses of whatever nature sustained as a result of their participation in the Promotion and related events and activities, save where such damage, cost, injuries and losses are sustained as a result of the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of any indemnified party. This means the Participant agrees not to hold the Promoter responsible for any loss or damage unless caused by gross negligence.

    Any Promoter or Kenvue affiliate employed directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants, suppliers of goods or services in connection with this Promotion, or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the above-named parties and their respective spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members are not permitted to participate in this Promotion.

  • It is the responsibility of the Participant to ensure that they redeem the coupon with a purchase within the Promotional dates.

6. Qualification for Promotion and Obtaining Brand Coupons

  • To participate in this Promotion and receive a brand coupon entitling the Participant to receive a discount, Participants must scan the QR code located on the KCard.

  • Consumers will initiate an interaction with a bot on WhatsApp after scanning a QR code available on their K-card, during which the Participant will be required to submit basic profiling information Full Name and Surname, Age, Mobile Number, once Consumer has consented to this interaction in line with the previously outlined terms.

    Upon completion, Participants will gain access to a selection of digital coupons for participating Kenvue brands to be issued at the sole discretion of the Promoter, including:

    - Neutrogena®

    - Rehidrat®
    - Savlon®

    - Sinutab®

    - Stayfree®

  • Participation is limited to participating stores within Shoprite Checkers, Pick ‘n Pay & Dischem. Data collected will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Promotion and in accordance with applicable privacy laws. The Participant is required to use a valid mobile number when requesting a coupon. To receive their Kenvue Discount Coupon, Participants need to provide a valid South African mobile number that has WhatsApp enabled with enough Data and permission to receive WhatsApp Business messages from Kenvue.

  • By requesting a coupon, the Participant consents to receiving WhatsApp messages from Kenvue for promotional purposes.

7. Coupon Restrictions, Limitations and Exclusions

  • A Participant is entitled to receive one coupon code per registered mobile number for each product (“SKU”). Once the coupon for that SKU has been redeemed by the Participant, the Participant will become eligible to receive another coupon for the same SKU.

  • The Participant can only redeem 1 (one) coupon code per purchase for a discount on any Kenvue Discount Coupon Promotion participating product.

8. Coupon Distribution and Redemption

Please note the following for coupon distribution and redemption:

  • Once the participant requested a coupon, they will receive a 16-digit Wi Code that must be utilised through a purchase. This means they are given a code that they need to provide to the participating store when making a purchase to attain the discount against the purchase.

  • The WiCode coupon value is of the specified coupon and can be redeemed at participating stores nationwide, excluding the Dis-Chem online store.

  • The WiCode coupons are not exchangeable nor transferable, under any circumstances. They cannot be redeemed for cash and have no cash value. Coupons cannot be resold or used for any commercial purposes.

  • If the Participant returns a product that was purchased using a WiCode coupon, the coupon value will not be refunded. Only the amount paid over and above the coupon value will be refunded.

  • The Promoter is not responsible for lost or stolen WiCode coupons. The coupon cannot be replaced or reimbursed in such cases.

  • Retailer stores reserve the right to refuse the redemption of any WiCode coupon that appears to be fraudulent or has been tampered with in any way.

9. Promoter's Rights

  • The Promoter reserves the right to change and/or postpone or terminate the Promotion immediately without notice. In the event of such change or termination, all Participants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of this Promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents or distributors.

  • The Promoter reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions as well as terminate (should the Promoter be unable to fulfil its obligations due to an unexpected event (force majeure event) such as strikes, governmental actions, natural disasters or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s reasonable control) the Promotion at any time. In the event of such termination, all Participants and/or winners agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of the Promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter, their advertising agencies, advisors, suppliers and nominated agents should these terms and conditions be amended or terminated as contemplated in this clause.

10. Liability

Neither the Promoter nor its agents, distributors, nor any of the Promoter’s directors, officers, employees or agents shall be liable for any kind of loss or damage which may be suffered by the Participants in connection with this Promotion.

11. Use of Personal Information and POPIA Compliance

  • By participating in this Promotion, you agree that the Promoter, where required, may collect and process your personal information such as your name and contact details for purposes of this Promotion and complying with their obligations under this Promotion including providing such personal information as may be required to facilitate handing over the coupons and to facilitate the Trolley Dash. The Promoter will not sell personal information about individuals to third parties. The Promoter may, however, disclose personal information in response to a specific request by a law enforcement agency, subpoena, court order, or as the law requires. The Promoter is committed to protecting the personal information of all Participants in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 ("POPIA"). By participating in this Promotion, Participants agree that their personal information may be collected, stored, and processed for the purposes of administering the Promotion, and in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy. The Promoter shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is securely stored and used only for its intended purpose. Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose of the Promotion or as required by law.

12. Final Decision

The Promotor’s decision(s) shall be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
